One of the foremost musical artists performing today, William Bennett has raised the profile of the flute to that of an instrument of subtle tone colours, dynamics and expression. He studied in London with Geoffrey Gilbert and in Paris with Jean-Pierre Rampal. He has held principal flute positions with the London Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras, the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields and the English Chamber Orchestra. Under the influence of his teacher and mentor, Marcel Moyse, William Bennet's career developed as an international soloist and major recording artist. He gained professorships at the Musik Hochschule in Freiburg and the Royal Academy of London and conducts masterclasses that attract students world-wide. He has recorded over 300 musical works from his solo flute repertoire, including many of his own transcriptions. In January 1995, the Queen presented him with the Order of the British Empire for his services to music. In 2002 he was honoured with the NFA (National Flute Association) Lifetime achievement award in the Washington DC Convention for his contribution and achievements. He plays a flute from the atelier of the foremast flute maker, a Louis Lot c 1978.

Clifford Benson is a pianist highly acclaimed for his sensitivity and styrong feeling for poetry and colour. He enjoys a varied career of performing solo piano, chamber music and composing.
