	Marcus was born in London in 1977 and grew up in Pagham. He began piano lessons with Yvonne Dinwiddy at the age of six. He studied at Trinity College of Music, and has gone on to win prizes, bursaries and scholarships, including Dartington, and at the University of Connecticut. He played at the Club two years ago at a "sell-out" recital, and has appeared as accompanist with oboist Clare Welfare.
